Ahoy Matey...2nd Birthday

My youngest son turns two tomorrow and we threw him a "Pirate Party"...lil sis came through once more! She made an amazing treaure chest cake! Seriously she amazes me. She made this out of two different colors of molding chocolate. The little jewels she special ordered and they are edible. Loved the lock and the little rhinestones around the base of the aluminum foil base. She made the flag and flag holder which added a great touch. The sand is graham crackers. This was AWESOME!!!!!! Great job once more!

Backyardigans

Backyardigans 3rd Birthday

When my oldest turned 3 in July, he was at the time into Backyardigans. So we decorated the whole place with the backyardigans. Tasha, (the hippo) was his favorite. I found a few cakes on line that I really liked and passed the idea off to my sis. She seriously AMAZED us all. This cake is crazy Professional looking!!!!
These butterflies are so cute, she made everything on here from fondant.

Then she even made this cool cupcakes to look like Tasha. Wow!!!

PURSE and RING

She had a friend thats daughter was turning 15 and she wanted a purse cake, so thats what she made!!! I was so impressed with the buckle parts...the icing or glitter(which is edible) was very realistic looking. Then she made a ring cake for another friend from work. This is great for an engagement party or wedding. Outstanding as always.

Happy Birthday to ME

On Sunday I will be 30!! Yesterday everyone came out to celebrate and my sis made a great cake. She used the cake pan I got her for Christmas (the big cupcake pan) and decorated it like a flower with fondant butterflies all over. It was red velvet~DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!

Balloon 1st Birthday

I can't believe my youngest is going to be two soon, time sure flies. When he turned one she made a wonder group of balloon cakes along with his smasher cake. The theme was balloons and that is just what she did. They turned out GREAT!!!! I loved how she did such a great job referring to the napkin! Good eye sis!Can you find the cake in the picture above? It looks just like the others from the table cloth, huh?

Black and White Wedding

Our cousin got married last year and she wanted a white cake with a middle tier of pictures. This cake was simple, yet elegant. I loved the tiers with the quilt pattern all around them and the thick black ribbon.

Patriotic Birthday

Because my oldests birthday is 5 days from Fourth of July we decided to go with the whole Holiday for our theme. PLUS it helped that he had a serious obsession with FLAGS...seriously he did. I loved the way she did the letters, swirled with red, white, and blue. Also the stripes were a great touch.

BABY SHOWER

I have had two baby showers and my lil sis was willing to make me yet some more cakes. For my first shower she actually made two cakes (I had two different showers), but I am in search for those pics. Once I find them I will post them.
My second shower the colors were pastel greens, blues, and yellows. I loved the ribbon on the bottom of the tiers. I also thought it awesome how she did the yellow circles big and blue ones smaller and then with the green she made little balls out of the fondant. The topper was a great addition to the cake. Great job as always sis!

1st Birthday Cake

When my oldest was turning 1, I of course asked her to make him a cake along with his smasher cake. She did AMAZING as always. The theme was airplanes. So she looked at the napkin and went to town. I especially loved the clouds on this cake...

Alysha's Wedding Cake

When I got married in 2004, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted my sis to make my cake. Yes, she was my maid of honor too...so she was extremely busy. The cake turned out better than I expected. The detail and time she spent on this was very appreciated. No one could believe she made it, everyone kept asking who made the cake. AND they all wanted to know her secret of how it was so moist. Thanks again sis for the cake, I will never forget!

She put two layers of ribbon, blue and silver, along with 3 silver beads (edible of course) in a pattern on the tiers. (The flower topper was done by my florist.)
